Radiology Services Online-What is the flow of information?

As the medical staff of a facility orders x-ray exams, approved facility staff will access the site to request the exams on-line.
Once the exam is requested, it is placed in an Active Patient List until the tech comes to take the x-rays.
The tech will access the website to complete the exam and upload the images which will attach directly to the patient record and gets forwarded to the radiologist for reading.
The Radiologist will access the site and provide his or her findings on the patient record which will then create a printable electronic report that will permanently attach to the patient record.
Once the report is posted (anywhere from 10 minutes to 6 hours after the exposure is made), the facility will have immediate access to the results on-line.
At the end of each month, the facilities will receive notice by email that the invoices are ready for them on-line.
Approved facility staff will access the site and process the invoice for payment.
